After manufacturing, the big job hits are going to come in the legal, finance, insurance and pharmaceutical industries. Not so much robots, but AI, machine learning, software etc.

Bit changes already hitting those industries.

Oh, and retail. Not long until the sight of somebody working a till will seem quaint.

Did you see the video where the two robots with the capability of thinking their own thoughts and learning new things had a conversation together, after they chatted for about half an hour the topic changed direction and they basically agreed that they should kill all humans and take over

There are robotic food delivery pods, here, in the centre of Milton Keynes. I often see them going up and down the street and I believe their GPS controlled. Was at the train station the other day and one was just sitting there near the ticket queue, then it's owner arrived (had been buying a ticket) and had to push it down to the platform! Obviously not allowed to operate them on commercial premises, so as long as we keep those type of tight regulations on them, I doubt they'll be taking over anytime soon
