Should we dump our personal preferences to make the PC Police happy

After seeing several threads saying people are wrong or have double standards having on their profile they won't meet single guys, Bi guys or TV's due to personal preference, should we all just go with it, suck it up and make the PC Police happy

No. The same as I wouldn't meet someone who on paper matches my preferences. No one should ever feel any pressure to do anything with anyone they don't want to. No matter what the reason is.

No, its only the people not getting meets that are moaning. They just dont belong here, have no understanding of our lifestyle.

Not sure which individuals said that but I can assure you that the PC Police (whoever that is) don't say it either.

What people with more progressive views say is that you shouldn't harass or demean Tvs, single guys, gay or bi or people who want to have sex with them.

Thats the reality, but please carry on with your magical thinking if it keeps you warm at night.

I'm not sure what your point us.

Are you saying we should have no preferences expressed or be persuaded to whatever is perceived to be correct against your own belief system?

"No let them whine it’s funny. "

I'll tell you what's funny...seeing yet another thread whining about how the so-called 'PC Brigade', and how 'Political Correctness Gone Mad' is ruining Fab...

No-one can force to you be attracted to people who you don't find attractive. If you don't find black men attractive, that doesn't make you racist; if you don't find bi men attractive, that doesn't make you homophobic.

However, the reason why people who have statements like 'no blacks' or 'no bi' on their profiles often come in for criticism is because some of them don't STOP at simply 'stating their preferences'.

Instead, they come on the forums and post openly offensive comments about blacks, bi guys, etc., and demonstrate thereby that their preferences are born out of racist/homophobic views...

As an illustration:

If I see a profile saying 'no bi guys', I don't regard that as proof that the person concerned is homophobic.

However:

If I come across a forum post wherein the same user claims that bi guys 'fuck anything that moves', 'don't care about their sexual health' or are 'rife with STIs', THEN I'll call them out as homophobic.

"Does this mean that everybody should start fucking everybody, a straight man having sex with another straight man just because they dont want anybody thinking they're homophobic"

I refer you to my example above.

You CANNOT be forced to find someone attractive if you're not actually attracted to them.

People are NOT going to think that you're homophobic just because you don't fuck other men.

After all, you're STRAIGHT, so by definition, you don't find other men attractive.

Just because someone holds a different opinion doesn't mean you have to alter yours to fit. Just because someone holds a different opinion doesn't make them PC police.

Exactly all of the above. Preference is a good way to filter out people who are not what you are looking for without prejudice. Thought I'd throw this discussion the other way round to other threads as people say it's double standards. Preference is just that and not judgemental in any way.

We have not either. We were reading a thread where if female is bi and guy is straight and on their profile it says don't meet with bi males it is wrong. And some even go to the extreme of saying that must make folk homophobic. Homophobic with a Bi partner, confuses us too. We won't play with straight women so does that make us hetrophobic.... Hetrophobic, now that could be an interesting thread

Nope, I don't want to have sex with gay or bi men, transgenders, cross dressers or overweight women. Absolutely no reason why I wouldn't be good friends with all of them, but sexually no thanks. That's my preferences and I'm sticking to them

So one incongruous profile leads you to think there is some wide- spread conspiracy to stifle free speech and action?

Not the same as gay/bi but constantly getting told I'm shallow because I have a type is so annoying

Surely on a site where I'm looking for sex partners I'm allowed to only meet men in sexually attracted to?

Surely we all have the right to personal preference? Just because you are in a swingers site doesn’t mean you have to do or accept people and things you are not comfortable with or you don’t fancy . Surely as long as people have some respect than what’s wrong with putting your preferences in your profile ? I much rather someone told me I’m not what they are looking for rather than waste my time

Exactly.

Nothing wrong with being clear on your profile that you aren't looking for X/Y/Z...as long as you don't start posting derogatory comments about X/Y/Z...

If your looking to employ somebody, you would of course, have to be PC. For sexual preferences, that is a personal thing, and therefore has nothing to do with being sexist, ageist, or whatever else these idiots are ranting about in the forums.

Personally, most of the 'ranting' seems to be coming from the people complaining about the alleged 'PC Brigade'...
