Is it just me or does anyone else get annoyed when you chat to someone on here and then you start messaging on what's app or kik and they immediately start asking for pics. It really pisses me off.

I find it particularly happens with kik users. Hence no more kik. And I only give my number for WhatsApp when I've already planned to meet

Set ground rules before moving to chat platforms like Kik or Snapchat.

If people become demanding, block.

It’s frustrating I’m sure. But easily rectified. Good luck!

We use kik and usually ask for a face pic taken with the kik camera as it shows the camera has been used and not just sent from gallery. We tend to say this in fab messages before giving out nicknames and always say we're happy to send a face pic in return.

If they don't want to fair enough were happy to talk over fab.

Funny the excuses you can get from people who's camera 'doesn't work' or their phone 'won't let them'.

I will only message on fab now until after meeting and talking on the fab phone with them. I have other apps for keep in touch with friends I've met regularly.

If someone asks for my kik I tell them I'm not into pic swap and dirty chat (unless that's what I want at the time) and if they start asking for lots of pics they will be blocked on there and here.

We only converse with folk through Fab Messages... until the point that we are going to meet, then we will probably exchange mobile numbers.

It is very annoying, but I always tell them upfront that there wont be any swapping until they prove they are genuine by taking a picture of todays date on a piece of paper that they are holding...no date, no kik...simples.
