Why do people start threads saying the threads are shit instead of starting an exciting one?

I think the forums in general are a bit flat at the moment. Maybe we're still recovering from the January blues?

I put Sainsbury's own brand Cornflakes into my colleague's box to see if they would notice the difference because he says he won't eat anything else except Kellogs.
