"Several times, what do you need to know?"

Nothing, just saw a picture of someone on a ridge and wondered if it was VB. I skied it once - they lied to us about the conditions, it was sheet ice nearly all the way! Day from hell....lol! Spectacular though...

It’s ice most of the time as it’s over 3k feet. If you’re looking to do it again, I’d advise booking a local guide. I trained under Nick Parks about 15 years ago. It’s dangerous as hell if you only ski 2 weeks a season. People die on it every year.

It took me a whole season to understand as I lived out there.

Oh we went with a local guide, wouldn't dare otherwise, I found it all pretty scary. I'm feeling 'Been there, done that, tick it off.....' , I would only be persuaded again of there were perfect snow conditions I think.

To get the best experience up there, I’d get yourself on a Freeride course, there are various courses and most importantly it’ll help improve your technique. Also, having better technique means you’ll get the best experience.
