So if u earn over I think 38k your get taxed 40% ish of anything over that point, I think before that it’s 9k for free and 20 something percent. This is where a creative accountant comes in handy, but most of those are pretty expensive so would make a dent in the 23.50 I fear!

A directors salary is paid in two parts with three lots of tax to pay, salary and dividends depending how your company is set up. There are not many ways of hiding your earnings (cash aside), directors tend to pay a lot of tax. If you don’t declare stuff you end up with your collar felt by the revenue. Take a look into it

You can earn 11500 tax free a year before Mr tax man starts having his cut..... then yes anything over 38k the rate goes up to 40 % ..... bloody joke to be screwed for working hard.

I do a skilled manual job so not as if I'm sitting in an office 9 to 5 mon to fri.

Keep it to yourself. There's actually normal hard working people on here who are on a very low wage and probably work 3 times harder than you £20+ an hour knobheads. Nurses for example... Probably Policemen, firemen, factory worker. Who all work hard and long hours and are on minimum wage and finding it hard to make ends meet everyday.

For you guys to shove your hourly rate in their face is just the equivalent of trying to suck your own dick. Wooo look how much I earn, for probably either doing shit work, easy work, or ripping some poor bastard off. If you work hard then you deserve what your paid. But keep it too yourself.

I’m sure both are horrible, but most people I’ve known in this situation are perfectly capable of working in some capacity and use the welfare state as a lifestyle choice, which it was never intended to be. Thus creating a massive gravy train (which the nhs has become too I’m afraid) that is paid for in the main by decent hardworking people. These people try to pay as little tax as possible (and who wouldn’t) and deserve every penny as far as I’m concerned. Roll on the revolution! That’s me off of my soapbox anyway. For the few that are actually Ill it is the biggest shame, because the piss takers cause the rest of us to view them with suspicion, instead of the sympathy they deserve. Peace out

I was on the sick for a while when I pulled my back out and had a knee operation. I know a lot of people out there are genuinely sick and would love to work. The government should create a lot more home based work. Work people can do from there home and not too strenuous. I've had jobs in the past where all I did was screw screws into bloody holes!! Nightmare, but perfect for home based work.... Just an idea
