A meet today flag

Bore da Friends Fabbers and Forumites.

Oh goodness me what a simply soggy windy day . I hope you all stay dry and safe .

I have put up that meet today flaggy thing. I have also had a peep and on who is near .lots of other chaps have done the same.

So my question to you all is

Does any one notice these meet today things and do they work?

In my experience as a chap I feel they don't.

What do you all think .

Yeah they do work but sometimes you get inundated then once they are up

I’m guessing any ladies popping one up would be incredibly busy in their mailbox, for us fellas less so. You’ll have to report back if it works for you today, I know you have loads of admirers, hopefully some are local and free today! Good luck!

that's a good idea indeed .

I'm sure ladies and couples who display them get inundated .

I was hoping to use it to tell local friends I am free , as I do like to get to know some one before we possibly hop into bed

For the ladies they work. My experience of nearly 3 years has resulted in not a single one succeeding.

What tends to happen is after the event I'd get a few messages saying well did you have a good night? To which they would reply no I blanked again ... they'd reply, I was thinking of asking but I didn't think you'd consider me.

I haven't used that facility in over a year now. I just see through my friends list (meets) and see whose free for a particular day, night or weekend.

We used to use it a lot but over the last several months we practically got no interest at all. A few weeks back not even a single message lol

I guess it depends on who's online and if you/them are a match.

I put a social meet up last week, it was quite a jokey one, we did it as a group, all of us going posted it.

I've only ever done them before when going to a club with my FB before & received a couple of messages.

Last weeks, thought my inbox was going into meltdown!

Was actually quite shocked at how many messages, and considering it was a social meet, a lot rather inappropriate!

This is why I don't reply to them either because you're one in 300 and very little chance...especially if they decide to do a group delete of messages. Far better looking and selecting someone whom you'll think would be interested imo.

You can tell I have never used or seen one as I've no idea where to look for it.

I've seen some on updates but that's it.

I'm sure there's a dedicated place for them somewhere

4 of us posted exactly the same wording, it was up for a week before the actual date, with very little response.

It was late the night before & the actual morning, the flood started.

I didn't even see the morning ones as was getting ready, then travelling to meet my friends.

For single guys I think they only work if you're attending a BMFC or Greedy Girl type event at a club, and want to get a 'headstart' before you get there lol
