Chaps, I know that you love fondling your bollocks, but how many of you check them for lumps and bumps?

A dear friend of mine has found a lump, and will now have to get it checked for testicular cancer.

So, boys, check your balls regularly. In the bath is good, because that's when everything is loose and relaxed. [Please do not do this in the local swimming pool ]

Or ask someone to check for you

If you find something unusual, please, please go to your gp as soon as possible. The earlier that testicular cancer is diagnosed, the more treatable it is.

And yes, this also means you young lads, too.

On behalf of your crown jewels, thank you.

Thank you for the reminder...

Jasper Carrot used to do a routine where he talked about testicular cancer...something like...

“Men have been told to check their balls every week...(pause, look around)...once a week!...(pause, look around)...I don’t know about you, but most men I know can’t leave them alone for more than a few minutes!”

I agree with this advice,my son found a lump, was told it was a cyst but 2 years later it was massive, it was actually testicular cancer. He's had chemo and is in remission now. He was 22. All check your nuts XXX

Even if it's not cancer, cysts on your nuts aren't comfortable (as my husband has found out the last week - cue hundreds of jokes from me about the doctor's cutting his balls off ) so catch them as well before they swell up!

I found a lump a couple of years back panicked (as you do). Went for a ultrasound scan I was a single bloke sitting in the maternity unit on my own, because it was the quickest appointment they could get me. But it turned out to be a Scrotolith (Scrotal Pearl) completely benign and huge weight lifted! On the positive side... apparently I can make pearls.

For your information I've lost several members of my family to cancer.

Cancer victims generally do not wish to have gloom and doom thrust upon them by so called sympathetic well wishers.

Well at least most of the ones I come into contact with daily.

Most of them want to treated as normal people just as you treat anyone else not as a victim or an object of sympathy to boost your own ego.

Quite frankly my dear....I think you know the rest of the famous quote.

Incidentally may I enquire why the original post of "I can be a checker" and the later seconder have not similarly been vilified?

Not to mention the phrase"Education beats cancer".

Modern drugs beat cancer. Education produces "immature" people like myself who work trying to develop the drugs which do fight cancer.

Look up Bleomycin, Carboplatin, Hydroxycarbamide which are used to treat testicular cancers and ovarian cancers among others. Amsidine and vincristine for leukaemia. All of these were developed by teams of chemists like myself. Yes chemists not pharmacists.

Some of us have had a greater input in the "fight against cancer" than is obvious.

There is more in the background of people on fab than "Fancy a fuck".

Hi Lisa

(We meet on another thread lol)

15 years ago I found not a lump as such but one of my testicles was hard knarly and mishapen... apparently had been like it for a while and I hadnt noticed. It of course turned out to be cancer as it happened I had an orchidectomy (testicle removal) and everything turned out ok but when they removed it they found the cancer was going up the tubes towards my stomach so I was lucky if I hadn't found it when I did it could have reached my stomach and that could have been game over.

The lady is right please please check yourselves regularly. I czn assure you that even if you have to have one removed that everything still works In my case its even better because it caused me to learn how to dry orgasm as well this means I can have lots of dry orgasms in a night with all the relevent sensations before eventually actually ejaculating when I am ready and wanting to.

So get it checked out its in your interests.

If caught early enough, maybe.

But drugs are not a universal panacea.

Hence checking testicles.

I'm finding it difficult to understand why some people feel the need to belittle others, over such an important issue.
