I just wanted to pass on a message from Fabio as I know there are lots of you on here that he sees as good friends and I feel that he'll possibly be needing your good wishes and support at this time,I know he values this community so much....

He wanted me to tell you all that hes in London right now with him mum who is very poorly so he won't be around too much unless he needs an injection of humour like we all do when we're feeling low

Shes made her peace with everyone and now they're all there with her to say goodbye.......

Fabio had just let me know that his mum passed away peacefully and with them by her side

As sad as it is,I think that is a perfect way to leave this earth, surrounded by love

Oh Fabio hun, never met you but feel like I know you from our chats on here.

Please accept our sincere condolences at this time. I was with my Mum when she passed away too and wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else on earth at that moment. It's plain to see that your Mum was and is much loved. Her memory will bring you strength hun. Meanwhile we're all here for you.

Nice to see half of my mums small Caribbean country at the hospital to pay their respects

Just also want to give my thanks to all the McMillan cancer nurses who were fantastic in their treatment of my mum and the family

Just under five hours agao, we learnt of Fabios mum being gravely ill. Here we are now having learnt of her sad passing.

Fabio, we are so sorry to hear this news, we can't imagine what it must feel like. Pop your head around the door when you need a cheer up fella. xxxx

On the last train back to Newcastle now.. It has just left London and gets back at 2.30 ish. Just felt like I needed space so just taking tomorrow to get myself together and will head back on Wednesday. So if I witter on for the next 4 plus hours you know why!

It struck me what a strong family of women I am lucky to have around me and the joy and smiles that my mum put on other people's faces was immense, that she touched so many people's lives in a positive way.

She was at peace with the world and the end was quick and pain free, thank god for small mercy's

I think the thing that surprised me was after the initial tears of which there were many, it turned into an almost joyous occasion where we were celebrating her life.. even brought "feed ya own friday" forward and had part of a huge kfc bucket which I know she would have loved....

have to say i am coping with it all a lot better than I thought I would, and that is with the love of family and everyone here, I had come to terms that she wasn't going to be here much longer yesterday and the end came quickly and she was such a fighter and so dignified until the end...

with the suggest that someone made that money raised be donated to MacMillan Cancer nurses I would 2nd that...

sending condolences to you and yours _abio ...its a tough time but a time for reflection and also a time for some unexpected laughing too ..i remember soon after my lovely dad passed away we came home from the hospice went online and ordered dominos pizza for the 16 people who had come back to the house with us ...was all a bit surreal sitting there choosing our toppings !!!..... but we raised a few glasses to him.that night and were happy he wasnt suffering any more ....
