It's used for all sorts of medical conditions and some have had positive results from it. I've never gone down the natural route, but conventional medicines haven't worked, so last resort for me.  | |||

We use a lot of herbs etc with horses to great effect because the licenced gastric medication works out at £30 a day to treat and £10 for maintenance, and that was 15 years ago! | |||

Yes it's used in dentistry. "Not familiar but following! With IBS I get through lots of assorted meds, not least Colpermin which is just peppermint oil. The biggest difference a 'natural' product has made to me has been charcoal capsules. I was desperate for imodium on holiday once when the pharmacist insisted I try them first. Made such a difference they are now my first port of call for most issues, barring major cramping when I go back to taking too much Buscopan" That's interesting too. I've never had any confidence in natural but I'm willing to give it a go | |||

I have ibs and for a few months now I’ve been suffering with really bad bowel cramps and pains that have also been going into my back and kidney area. Could you pm me more information as I’m getting desperate, buscopan just isn’t doing anything and I’m living on co codamol to help the pain. X | |||

"i thought we were supposed to have bad bacteria in us?" We have good and bad bacteria in us, in my case I developed a serious infection of the stomach, which can in some cases cause cancer. I have other health issues which cause me to have a low immune system. | |||
