Be honest. Do looks matter to you?

I personally think you only want to get to know the person if your attracted physically.

You wouldn't chat someone up in a pub if you weren't attracted

Yes. They do. But like anything, what a person finds attractive is entirely subjective

You can have the most amazing personality but without the physical appearance to catch her eye there is no woman on here that will ever take the time to findout

Funny enough I have had some fab social encounters with people that I am not actually attracted to but are great people.

I guess the true prize is someone with both ....the saga continues ......

I agree to some extent as there has been some I wouldn't have looked twice at in a pub...but on her we approach it from a different angle and you build up a rapport often long before we meet. So you get to know the person here not based on the pub impression

As I’ve already said, a physical attraction is certainly required. I don’t agree with your comment that a personality you’re attracted to is only relevant if you’re looking to date etc.

Each to their own though - we are all different at the end of the day.

Perhaps you are not looking to engage in conversation and enjoy their company on more than just a physical level, but not everyone is like that. I'm not looking for a relationship, but I like to get on with them as well as fancy them

These threads make me laugh... Everyone so self righteous.

Ladies would not even reply to a message from a guy if she was not attracted to the pictures so she has no idea what the person or is like and they hid this shallow behaviour behind the fact they receive so many messages.

Guy don't give a toss what she looks like as long as she is putting out.

And we will all disagree and claim we are different... Funny thing is, I am different but most will never get to find out as I am to ugly to chat to.

Well yes, in order to be intimate with someone, I need to be attracted to her. However, substance is as important as surface, if not more important in some occasion. So even though the look pleases my eyes, her personality also needs to match mine.

Having said, I do not want to fuck everyone I am talking to and I don't necesseraly talk to people that I would like to fuck.

For sure, physical attraction is very important for me as well as mental and emotional attraction and clearly is to others, so it’s a bit of a double edged sword as mutual attraction can be somewhat elusive

You are making a blanket judgement based on your personal preferance. You have your way, others have their's. There's nothing wrong with yours, but that doesn't mean that everyone Is of the same mindset as you .
