I really really want to stay in Scotland for a week next year and i have absolutely no knowledge of the place or the various regions and beauty spots the country has to offer.

Ideally id like to stay at a caravan/chalet park kinda thing just for practical purposes (amenities are all close by and usual something in the evenings).

Maybe from past experiences you can recommend (or warn me off) places to stay and visit. Many thanks xxx

Check out 'visit Scotland' I think something like that)- we had a week touring Scotland a couple of years ago and got some great advice and b&b's from them. Z

I went to a friends in Falkirk...from there we went touring the Trousacks (sic) every day....a week of wall to wall sunshine, the countryside and people were stunningly beautiful....I was very moved by some of the sights we saw...ephemeral vistas day after day...

I`d like to go further north at some point...I`ve a hunger to experience the stark beauty of true mountain country...

I travelled the Alps in my youth....I want to relive those memories whilst I can..

Depends on how far you want to travel - there are some gorgeous places in the Highlands but for me all along the west coast is the nicest, lochs, mountains etc.

Sky Road is my fav place absolutely stunning xxx
