i love it me being single. Can do what i want without having to answer to anymore.can have late nights doing what i want when i want. I choose this because after two failed marriages and partners who cheated or werent committed enough. i feel this is how i want my life to be from now on.

Exactly. Some people have strange ideas about what being married is like. My wife is delightful. Sorry OP but you just married to wrong guys.

Must admit I miss being in a relationship. I love the company, the contact and just knowing someone is always there for you.

It depends on the type of men you're in a relationship with.

Some will allow you to still be yourself. I don't fully agree that when you're married you can do exactly the same things as being single, as in a marriage, you do actually have someone else to consider and think about, unless of course you don't actually give a damn about them.

Love being single, but sometimes it sucks to be honest. After an afternoon/evening of fun having to stay by myself doesn't feel right. So to fix this, I now only date guys who come with sleepovers

I agree. Being in a relationship shouldn't mean changing who you are or feeling like you can't do what you want when you want. I would choose single life over that but I'd choose a good relationship over anything else.

.

I'm loving being in a relationship currently and I hope if I get married that continues - I think when you find the right partner it's fantastic and they won't stop you doing what you want (obviously there are potentially harmful exceptions). Sorry to read you've had some bad experiences OP.

Being single for a while can be fun but most if not all yearn for companionship.

The grass is always greener on the other side, no matter if your single or in a relationship always do what you want to do.

I'd hazard a guess many a happy couple would disagree. Including ourselves.

You guys are one of the lucky ones but it's nice that you still love each other. May you have many years of staying that way

You can't always though if you're in a relationahip as you have to consider your partners needs and wants as well as your own. Surly relationships are about compromise.

I had the same outlook...then I met the right person.

Do whatever makes you happy, but don't think that all relationships are shit...they're definitely not

I lost my wife over 4 years ago and although I have got used to being on my own I miss her warmth, her scent, her goodness.

I have pangs of this too. For the most part I’m happy going about doing my own thing, but now and then it’d be nice to have someone put their arms around me, just because.

I miss doing nice stuff for someone special too.

Good for you OP

I think the most important thing in life is being content with what you have.

Not tgat I can apply that information - I wish I could

I've been single a long time now and even though I like my own company it's wearing a bit thin doing things on my own.

I'm not sure I could have a conventional relationship again - but I would love to have someone to go out with, go on holiday with etc..

Someone I care about but I don't live with - I don't want to be involved in someone else's famy either - I've had my fair share of in-laws and ex baby mummas

I guess what I'm looking for doesn't exist

But I'm forever the optomist

Everything has it's season...

No one knows what it who may wander into our lives tomorrow or what impact they may have...

So just do what you feel but....

Never say never...

Single is fine.... i do enjoy it.

But badly miss coming home to a kiss and cuddle on the sofa..... and a warm cuddle waking up in the morning.

Everything has its pros and cons.
