They sure do piss me off from time to time.

A couple of days ago, I've had to clean up a pile nachos that was just left there along with a spilt drink just at door of a screen all over the floor. From what I saw, it looked deliberate as no one came to me to say they accidently dropped their food and drink. I don't understand why I had to clean that shit up when it was some twat that made the mess in the first place.

What also annoys me is when a movie is just finishing, some stupid bastard is already in their seat ready for a film they're going to see that doesn't start for 20 - 30 mins and the movie that is currently on hasn't even finished the credits yet.

I'm so fed up with these types of customers that treat the place like its their own fucking house. I fucking hate them.

Sorry for the angry rant. I just wanted to get this off my chest as I'm so sick of these stupid customers.

Yes to a point. Accepting what he describes is a lowering of social standards that I personally don’t wish to accept.

And actually if this is seen as the norm it will impact us all because we’ll have to wait longer and longer to view the films after the children have finished their tea party.

OP why not make complaints and proposals to your mangers ? What next, People pissing in the corner to avoid missing the film?

Personally im in the food industry so cleaning up the crap people leave behind is part of my job, so I just get on with it

It’s when they have an attitude about it that pisses me of, there was a guy and a lady in my store just before Christmas and he’s started to tidy food items onto the tray and she remarked “leave it that’s what commoners like her are paid for”

No need for a remark like that, if us commoners hadn’t had prepared her meal she wouldn’t have eaten!

OP the general public can be assholes.

I work in a supermarket on the clothing department. Often customers will try stuff on and just leave it on the floor in the fitting rooms. You do have to wonder how these people live, their homes must be filthy.

Try not to let it get to you too much, just keep smiling.

At least you don’t work with someone that I’m sure has cotton wool between her ears! I was sat there with my residents today doing a lovely sensory session, lights off and all the pretty light etc, she walks in, SEES the bloody lights etc and goes ‘why are all the lights off and curtains pulled?’

You just gotta switch off when your at work, sing songs in your head and get on with it as no matter how much it pisses you off or how big of an arsehole your dealing with your gonna have to do it anyways so just switch your mind off. I work amongst the public surrounded by hundreds of people every day and your average person is always a bit of a dick, your gonna have to deal with these people your whole life so just gotta accept it and deal with it im afraid

Within any customer service based job you have to expect not everyone is considerate and behaves in a way deemed acceptable. I work in a cafe and there are customers i daily roll my eyes at when i see the state thry leave things in or the wsy they speak to you. But i chose to work there, if i hated it that much i would leave. A job is a job im paid to do it.

Obviously my perception of what is acceptable is different to the people that irritare me at work

In every Customer Service or Facing role, there has to be an element of how customers don't behave to either your perceived standards or those generally accepted in Society.

It's often said in Hotels and Hospitality that Guests/Customers more often than not leave their brains at home. The nonsensical questions I have been asked or situations I have experienced in over 35 years would, if commonsense was applied, be quite simple to work out or if thought out in advance, never have to approached at all.

People don't think away from their usual environment or routine, they have to have someone else deal with it and/or provide a solution.

In Customer Service, you won't always win but you have to put it down to experience and MOVE ON!!
