Oops! I drank bleach

Not on purpose. I bleached my cups and clearly didn't rinse them properly as after a cup of tea my mouth is a bit burny and my tummy isn't quite sure what's going on.

After a bit of reassurance from Dr Google and my Mum I think I'll survive though.

What stupid things have you done recently? Make me feel better please!

Smashed my shin on the corner of a metal plate because I was on my phone while walking, rather typical of me really.

Drove my car under a restricted height barrier somehow forgetting that my big shiny new bike was on my bike carrier on the roof.

Pretty sad site as half-of it appeared in my mirrors, crumpled and broken.

Made the day of the other people in the car park, great laugh they had!!

2 drops of bleach per litre of water is ok to drink as you can purify water that way,

I didn't wash out my mug properly with the washing up liquid...ended up with a rather bubbly tea with a hint of fairy x

Ribble Valley

Still don’t understand the fixation with bleaching mugs, as you know it’s fairly dangerous if a small amount gets back in to your next brew.

Fairy liquid, a good dish sponge and plenty of elbow grease does the job!

Lost count of the number of times I cut through the hedge trimmer cable.

Tiling my girlfriends (at that time) bathroom and cutting the plastic trim to go round the window on a mite saw. Saw didn’t cut it all the way through, so used a Stanley knife to finish off.

Stupidly, cut it over my knee, and cut the plastic and my knee. Left a nasty mess, that was blade deep and bloody.

What makes it worse, she told me not to cut it that way, but I ignored her. Only but if advice she ever gave that I didn’t listen to, and look what’s happened.

I had a new roofbox fitted when I was heavily pregnant...5 minutes later drove into a car park with a height restriction barrier and knocked the whole thing plus roof bars off.

I got out and burst into tears, but 2 vans had already stopped and the lovely guys driving them put it back on for me. Had to go back to the shop and get it checked, and the cheeky buggers said they'd had a bet that I'd be back within the hour cos I looked so distracted. Luckily it only had a graze on the front

I regularly do stupid things to the extent I warn meets that my bruises are because I tend to catch myself on doorhandles etc all the time.

To avoid the bleach in future, I recommend just using a bit of bicarb in mugs for removing tannin stains, a quick rub does the trick x

Not me, but the other half. Sterilised his contact lenses and thought he'd neutralised them before taking a business call.

Rushing to leave for an appointment he put the lens in his eye...he hadn't neutralised.

Ouch!!!

This was the fault of a work colleague more than it was my fault...

I was at work yesterday at the very end of breakfast service with a handful of around four coffee mugs, two being fairly full, and as I was about to push the door to the kitchen, my colleague came through the other way, creating a coffee fountain as the door slammed into me, then the coffee went all over the floor and soaked my work blouse to the skin all down the left side and half of my skirt too. Thankfully my work blouse is navy blue and doesn't go see through.
