...to the scumbags who nicked a load of cable from the sub-station at the bottom of our street yesterday morning, that plunged 240 houses into darkness for the rest of the day and blew half of our appliances.

I hope you die a long lingering death that hurts.

sad to say it is a common thing, with the price or scrap copper as it it today, they hook one end up to the back of a van, then drive off ripping it out on the way

Oh our village had a lower level of scumbag, they stole the brass plate off the war memorial,to me thats desecrating a grave.

About 2 years ago a pikey broke into the sub station where we were working and tryed to steel the copper buzz bars and earthing bond, poor bugger did not understand about the 1 minuet auto trip reset system. No need to say 217kva he was toasted. The outside of the body looked ok apart from two black parts where he earthed out and his insides would of been cooked like boiled chicken.

He won't do that again.
