"also.. if ulster have said they are going to replace lialeofano with another "international quality player" then why was the need to get rid of ruan pinaar? he never wanted to leave... and has been playing briliantly for montpellier" They were forced to under the Irish quote system, effectively you can have non-irish players up to a certain time, but if they then cant qualify to play for Ireland on residency the clubs are forced to relieve that player as it potentially blocks the route for an irish youngster coming in, obviously, Ulsters way around it is short term contracts for highly skilled international players | |||
