I appreciate that everybody has a very good reason to block someone and that is fine.

Here's the but, over the years I have twice been blocked by some jnot the same person twice, just in case I've got my grammar wrong) who I was getting on very fine with and then poof, blocked out of the blue. As I say I have no issue with that, I just wish they'd have messaged and said blah blah blah and in true Alan Sugar mode said therefore with regret you're blocked and then instantly blocked me. It's the not knowing why that's frustrating.

Anyway I'm not whinging, merely observing.

Which is why I think send the reason and block straight away, therefore no follow up questions.

You know I think I will. You do wonder why at time's why someone has blocked you,especially if you've never spoken to them,but hey I only wonder for like 3 seconds then the wonder has passed.

I hardly block nowadays,it just tends to be more counter blocking or when I don't want someone noseying at my profile.

I very rarely block people - only the extremely rude!

However, lots of people have blocked me - including quite a few forumites. Their prerogative of course but I haven’t a clue what I’ve done to upset them!

It's standard fab process and it has to be accepted as the costs of interacting with many to find the fewer who match us.

If fab adds the suggested block and send a no thanks button, you'll likely get more notifications. If you see this suggested, add your support for it.

By replying to soeone and listing blah blah blah. I then receive another reply saying BUT blah blah blah, and won't take no for an answer. Hence blocking is easier.

Sometimes we just have a clear-out of our 'friends list', maybe we haven't messaged for a long long time, or the 'distance' means we know we will never meet up, or maybe its just naaa.

But rarely is it ever personal.

Just because it says 'Friends List' most of them aren't really friends, we are (mostly) just likeminded people passing each other by.

We have also been deleted from many profiles over the years - we never take it as an insult or feel 'hurt' by it - we all just move on with life

I never used to bloc but I had certain guys who looked at my profile and just repeatedly hit on my veris

The amount of messages I send on here is limited unless I’m talking to friends mates or playmates when I message someone new and they’ve read the message and not replied within a given time I bloc them for no other reason than it saves wasting my or their time in the future

I block when people get on my tits and then i unblock when they don't. Most folk don't really want to know they're getting on my tits, most don't even care, so i'll keep up with the surreptitious block.

Communicating may be best for you, but when you are single, and get the volume of messages we do, it can be difficult when you are trying to politely say no, and they persist in trying to change your mind. I am not complaining about the volume of messages, just pointing out why some feel the block is the only/or easiest option

I wouldn't block someone because of not getting on in the forum, but I do sometimes if I see a single man, who may mail me at a future point. Their profile reads 'ok', but they say something that I feel very uncomfortable in the forum (revealing their actual views). So don't mistakenly meet a man, who for instance says he would only have sex with a fat woman if he was desperate, but his profile says....love all shapes and sizes. Didn't really answer your point though, did I ?

Why even care, op. If people want to block they're going to block so don't sweat the small stuff. Wait till you have a disagreement with someone then find out they've blocked you, believe me you'll feel much better knowing you've pissed someone off to block you when actually you couldn't give a monkeys that they have.

Enjoy fab op, there's plenty who'll find you okay, concentrate on those profiles

I do enjoy fab and hope a little bit of fab enjoys me, I certainly don't lie awake at night worrying about it.
