That nip in the air....

... always present in the North East heralding it is Autumn, that comes back to bite you in the arse when talkign of Indian Summers. Ive just come in from the garden and its non existant. Its positively balmy.

Its obviously the end of the world.

Anyway. Question. What do you like best. Warming up in bed because its flaming freezing. Or trying to stay cool when its hot and humid in the summer?

What do you cope with best and how do you manage to get comfortable enough to settle down to sleep when the weather is against you?

Do not under any circumstances send me pics of yourselves in flanelette nighties or jammies.

I (Bob) would rather be cold and Mrs red would rather be hot.

Problem is that even when it's cold I always feel hot despite wearing shorts and T Shirt all year round ..

People look at me in a funny sort of way when I'm out with the dogs at 6.30 in the morning in 6 degrees of frost wearing shorts ....

I dont like hot weather, i dont wear anything in bed and keep pushing the quilt off. In the cold weather i wear pyjamas and keep cuddling my hubby when i first get into bed because i cant get warm.

Believe it or not hot peppermint oil is good for cooling the feet. Mix it with some handcream and it cools you down xxx

.

I use a 4.5 tog quilt all year round, unless it's really hot when I just use the quilt cover.

In winter I barely have the heating on in the bedroom.

Nothing nicer than sliding into a cold bed

ok irritable legs can be a sign of dehydration. The supplement or gel you can use is Red Vine Leaf from health food shops. Keep it in the fridge to make it cool and it really helps. Good for heavy tired legs too.

Also you can keep a spray mister by the bed for your feet.

If you have a fan fill a bowl of ice and put that in front of it makes it colder.

xx

Have you had a blood test that says you have low iron? Because if you take supplements with iron in them and your count is normal then those can also cause ILS. Its a minefield xx

One of my best buys for the summer was a 1 tog quilt from a well known mill shop. Stores everywhere and begins with a D...

it's back on the bed for this weeks heatwave!
