Rogue one got itself all involved in controversial things such as storylines, which the two sequels haven't bothered with other than the falibilty of Skywalker. I quite liked it.

Execution wasn't too bad. Direction was good. Acting was so/so (Hamil was great)

But the writers need to be taken out and spanked. So much of it made no sense. Very little character development at all. I don't think anyone learns anything in this film.

Skywalker's storyline was superb delving back in to the past. With hindsight, that is. Plenty of brilliant writeups about which describe in great detail how it links and draws from the original trilogy to show what he really was.

If you're suggesting that it 're enforced the point that Skywalker was always a poor big kid Jedi who did not really understand the force then yes he portrayed it well

Hami'll was a pointless distraction the film was ok but the refreshing promise that rai gave in force awakens was lost in this one

I'd suggest the film did not add or to be fair take away much from the theme although perhaps the Kylo Ren character who I don't really like was given a little more depth than his vacuous fist outing x rai deserved much much more I'd suggest her character has a great deal of potential

J.J Abrams has a lot of Retconning to do lol

Snoke's death prob won't be retconned

Leia god knows how they will now deal with Carrie Fisher not being there and Leia still alive actually that pissed me off when we all thought that was it for Leia i accepted it then the Leia superman shite not cool , not cool at all

Rey is where i think J.J Abrams will 100% retcon Rey's parents build up for two years to mean bugger all no no that is a cop out and shit

Disney have alot of making up to too as at this point i couldnt care less about Solo a Star Wars Story

The problem is now with Leia using force power we have never saw before i am gonna be walking into the next movie thinking when they kill Leia off i will be like erm but she used force powers to cheat death so how come she cant this time round

Now i know they have to think of someway of dealing with Leia because of Carrie sadly passing away but yeah i cant get over the fact the had a chance in this movie to deal with that and its not just me saying in that scene they were ready to accept the way to deal with Leia

And i swear to god i can mind being in the cinema thinking ah so they have thought of a way of dealing with it and i was like ok i accept it then the hand moves and eyes open and that damn superman flying thing nope not cool

I know alot of people are not happy with they way they treated Luke which i have some problems with but the ending no problem with that as i knew it was fading the old cast out to bring in the new cast so how they dealt with Luke's ending i thought was good as it had ties in's with a New Hope and the twin Sun's

Roll on Solo eh? Lol

Just felt like a stand alone sifi movie with the odd starwars caracter thrown in like a cross between battle star galactica and star wars
