Of my new years resolution of getting fit and stepping out of my comfort zone, ive signed up for my local ultra white collar boxing event in aid of cancer research.

I’d like to hear from you if,

A) you’d like to sponsor me.

Or

B) you’ve done an event like this

Ooh it's great fun OP, you will love it.

It you can, try and get some extra coaching. The twice a week for 2 months I got just wasn't enough to get me ready for a fight. I was an absolute beginner and had never done any exercise at all before.

I trained for 4 months beforehand, 5 times a week. Then when training started properly I trained 7 days a week on top of the sessions with pink collar boxing (the ladies version). It was easy for me to get extra training, my best mate is a former pro boxer and he beasted me

When you are training do 3 minute rounds, it will make the fight seem much easier because you only do 2 minute rounds.

If you are a smoker or drinker (I was) then quit, you won't be able to breathe in the ring otherwise.

Spar with everyone in the gym who will go in the ring against you. There were no women for me to spar with at the gym I went to every day so I beat up the men instead.

If you can get someone to video you sparring you can see anything you are doing wrong frequently and can work on it.

Have fun OP

Don't they offer training for these events. I know a few people that gave dine them and they had to agree to do some fairly intense training regimes.
