How obvious is your humour?

On a site where all initial introductions are made in the written form, does your humour translate well, or do people think you're being rude and rather odd? and your left feeling rather bemused about how irate they are?

No idea actually. I'm very dry and sarcastic but i think i just come across online as not having a sense of fun.

I've no idea how I'm translated, probably seen as a moron.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I've been told I come across as rude, dismissive and up my own arse.

I find I have to add an emoji to hint I'm not being obnoxious .....

I think I get my sense of humour across well in written form, the use of emojis helps also. I figure that someone who gets me won't be offended. If anyone is, and I've not managed to offend anyone yet, then we wouldn't get on anyway!

I suspect I come across very wrong online. I'm extremely blunt, but also very sarcastic and dry. People always get me wrong in person too and just think im a complete cow. You have to ignore first impressions with me

I tried to be funny once.....

I only care that those who have the attitude that a sense of humour is what will rock my boat most, id the Ines I talk to personally. The rest here can ignore me as much as they desire if they take it the wrong way.

Op, I think most things can be misconstrued misquoted when it's in text

Hull

Im quite sarcastic and have a dark and dry sense of humour which doesn’t always translate in text form if you don’t know me so I tend to use emojis to try to make it obvious I’m not being snarky.
