Fred and my eldest enjoy it but not as frequent as they'd like.

I've got an introductory lesson later this year and then doing it for real on holiday next year.

A great hobby for the whole family. Something you can all do together would be amazing

We have a diving centre a few miles away in an old quarry, so once we are all qualified we can do it both locally and more regular, but we plan to incorporate it into family holidays going forward.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

There does seem to be a shortage of divers on fab..

when you mention you are into watersports, like wearing rubber and have dabbled with penetrative and apnea dives, people here seem to get the totally wrong idea about you..

I have done a few dives over the last 24 years, into underwater photography, wrecks and having socials with large palagics...

I have my advanced open water PADI, I have only UK dived so far in Wraysbury Lake and usually dive in warmer waters on holiday. Turkey, India, Florida and New Zealand. Ive looked into joining a dive club on the coast so I can do more UK dives and wreck dives but have done little about it so far. None of my friends are divers!

Went scuba diving at great barrier reef... Was great, saw some really weird looking fish. .. Loved it.

10years later went in Greece by walking into the sea then swimming, sea was rough, got water in my goggles and wanted out that second.. I assume I came to the surface too quick as ever since then my ears wont ever pop when flying, giving me a headache from hell and can't hear properly for half a week after.

I can see why strong swimmers like it, but for me... Never again.

I dive at wraysbury every now and then. There are a few dive clubs in and around London that offer uk day dive or weekend trips. Find yourself a club and I’m sure you will find a buddy. It’s a shame to let such a great hobby go to waste by only diving on holiday

My cuck is kind of a free diver. When snorkelling in Egypt he dived down with the scuba divers and swam alongside them for a couple of minutes. It was funny seeing there reactions.

Up on them there hills

Was so funny, took my nine year old son down, was only meant to do seven metres, because of his confidence, we might have gone a tad deeper.

All the dive master said was, he was fucking noisy, so needed to talk what he saw, grunts, burbles, pointing.

Wish I’d dived at his age...
