Awkward Situations...

Being on this site from a small town, you occasionally see people from this site out an about... which can be awkward, but after a particularly awkward encounter Jack had during the summer, we were wondering what other peoples experiences were of seeing people from this site in real life?

Coming across people who are on fab doesn't bother either of us but there is a guy from work who keeps asking...

"Been to any clubs recently?"

My reply "No we don't go to them that often"

But i always ask which ones he's been to or is going to so we can avoid it like the plague.

Traffic land

I had a colleague message me last year and I’ve seen a single man I went on a social with, with his partner and child in Lidl

We often see people from this site - some we have played with, some we haven't- we like it.

Nobody else knows how we know each other, so we don't know why it should be a problem?

I've had a few people from fab approach me at my place of work which is bang out of order. I don't hide the fact I'm on here but will never respond positively to this.

As for others I know in the real world I have very close family who are on here too. We do discuss fab and swinging in general but only when there is nobody else there.

I know a few people at work that are on here and its not an issue. There is also someone on here who is convinced we are another couple from the same area, the more I try to say we aren't the more he's convinced we are. I hope he never mentions it in person as that would be rather awkward.

We find it quite sexy when we see people we know, that sexy smile.

Our awkward situation, or rather Jack's awkward situation was when we met some holidaymakers for a drink, some flirting and some soft fun. 2 days later Jack encountered that couple at work. They'd booked a session with him with the rest of their family, including parents and their children. 3 hours of slight awkwardness.

Slightly different to just seeing someone you know on the street!

Seeing a family member would be pretty awkward!

Someone messaged me on here to say they saw me walking from B&M over to Asda. I was there at the time, but the woman he must have seen wasn't me. I wasn't alone.

I never ever meet locally. I used to have face photos up but I took them down after being spotted a few times - the one that was the worse was when I walked to my local Tesco at about 11 at night, then later got a message asking if I was at a landmark at the time I was there from a profile without any photos at all. Now I don't have the name of where I live on here, and even the post code I have as my location isn't actually my location.

Seeing someone off here whilst out and about wouldn't bother me one bit. I don't understand why it is an issue.

Especially if you're single.

I got a verification once for being spotted crossing a Lidl car park

We must of been inherently unlucky then.

The first person that recognised us saw me in the supermarket, then came to be telling us where and when I was shopping, threatening to approach me from behind and kiss me (I say threatening as I do not welcome a faceless stranger touching me ever) "she" then proceeded to name my neighbours - never had we given her our address.

The second person to recognise us was at a local diy store working, pleasant in person and bending over backwards to help us, though it got really creepy when he messaged us to tell us he had seen us but then got cold feet and didn't want to tell us where.

The third approached my vehicle at the school run, he stood in front of it, smiled, stared, and to this day nearly 2 years on continues to freak me out - him and his missus are looking for single fems only - something I am not.

The fourth was at my workplace - he messaged expecting/demanding a reward for recognising me.

The fifth is kind of ongoing, sent a message saying he knows us, being nosey I replied, another dad from the school - wife unaware - blocked him as he's pushy and kept calling me "sweet" so in my opinion over familiar considering we exchanged just a few messages. Boxing day he was in my workplace with his family and wanted to know why I blocked him, explained uninterested, he insisted me and hubby stop being shy and unblock him (at no point did I say he interested me hes an arrogant prick who assumes I am because hes so wonderful) am awaiting seeing him on the school run this week! If he approaches me again I shall be advising him the next time I will be approaching his wife.

I have also had a friends request from some other guy locally pretending hes seen me about and knows me - ended up admitting hes seen me on here!

Just because I am on here doesn't mean I am available to anyone and everyone and people who treat me as if they are entitled or overstep the mark into my personal life really piss me off.

Our first visit to a club we saw another school parent! The club is 50 miles away! What are the chances!

The chances are very high.

Everyone is worried about bumping into someone they know at a club and being embarrassed or having to explain it away. As a consequence they all travel out of their local area to avoid it.

You are more likely to bump into your neighbour at a club an hour or 2 away from home than you are at a club on your doorstep.

Maybe if the car park was bigger they wouldn’t have spotted you

A marine i was based with (different section from mine mind) casually mentioned the site in passing and that he recognised me from here from my tattoos, being a sailor I think her was trying to play the big man in trying to belittle me infront of some of my female sailor colleagues, luckily they were also members of the site that I knew about.
