The last time I actually messaged someone new on here looking to meet....are you like a piece of furniture here too? Simply hoping someone will sit on you whilst you do nothing?

I never use the proximity search to be fair, and i hardly message people from the forums either, i just wait for someone to message me. Law of averages and all that

Once, maybe twice in the last few months and that’s it. I use the forums instead now

Think it's that long since I sent a first message it was tied to a pigeons leg.

I'm starting to grow into my rock but maybe just maybe one day someone may stub their toe on it and wake me from my slumbers.

Until then I'll just sit here and dream of the girl....

Haven't ever cut and pasted or sent just one line "wanna f**k" type messages but rather spend time composing them, unfortunately the lack of positive response dors take its toll on the ego, to be truthful, so haven't sent an unsolicited message for a while.

I've never sent anyone a first message.

I'm more like a trampoline in the garden. People see me and can't resist a jump.

I message people from time to time, and occasionally i get replies too..

Yeh, I know, unconventional but hey, I've never been one to stick with convention...

There and to the left a bit

I've sent maybe five unsolicited totally cold messages with a view to getting to know someone better, and maybe meet, in the time I've been here - all but one got polite responses but didn't go much further.

Most of my dialogue is with forumites off the back of threads etc and not always initiated by me - if that then leads to potentially meeting then great

Yeah, im definitely like that, its not that i think people should contact me first, ive just lost the enthusiasm to chase and fully accept that if you dont chase you dont meet..

..enjoy the forums and the odd chit chat with friends though..

Same here.

I'm not very proactive at the moment as my moods are a bit up and down. Although i'm not very proactive anyway.
