Somewhere In The Ether…

There’s a bizarre conspiracy theory surrounding those particular lyrics and Paul McCartney’s ‘death’. Apparently, the REAL Marca died way back and was replaced by a lookalike. Adherents of this particular notion point to the famous Abbey Road album cover and that Paul, barefoot and out of step with his fellow band mates is dressed all in white (symbolic of a corpse in a burial shroud) and that the lyric in one of their songs referring to a Walrus is a Greek translation of ‘corpse’ (or something). Hmmmm....bullshit or not?

"There are some odd lyrics in the Beatles song, come together.. "

Clearly the result of some top class narcotics.

Great song though!

Was having a discussion about the Beatles the other day. To go from Love me Do to Day in the Life in 5 years is outstanding....I don't think this generation has picked up on how great they were yet.

"Lucy in the sky with diamonds refers to LSD"

Actually that’s an urban legend.

Julian Lennon’s friend at school was called Lucy & he had brought a picture home from school that he had painted of Lucy in the sky. The stars looked like diamonds & that gave John what he thought was a cool name for a song
