I don't know how you can give 20 children enough of your time. I suppose the older ones help out in that regard, but should they have to? Nah, not for me.

I'm thinking this myself.

I've got two of different ages with different interests. It's tricky enough sorting them things to do, and individual time between work and each other.

I wonder if the older children are having to help out with so many younger siblings. Have they missed out on things because of it do you think?

Another view could be he has a good accountant and doesn't post a decent profit so qualifies for state hand outs, just saying.

I think it’s unfair on the kids as well and is selfish to consider when we have over population in this world.

Why else would she want 20 kids. Unless it’s a financial scheme it must be some sort of mental health issue, maybe she didn’t feel loved as a child and iscompensating for that

Bedworth

I’d have been thrilled to be able to have just one living child but alas, it was just miscarriage after miscarriage for me.

There was a girl I went to school with who always said to the careers teacher that all she wanted was to be a mum and have a large family. She married at 17, they had their first child at 18. Her and her husband finally took doctors advice 2 years ago when she was aged 40 and stopped at baby number 15. The doctors said it was too dangerous for her to have any more. Along the way she had a couple of miscarriages, one still born and one set of twins. She has been pregnant for most of her adult life but she wouldn’t change it for the world!

She got what she dreamed of having since she was a little girl.

Ok - have to chip in here .......

Basic rate is 20% upto £45k, then 40% upto £150k

On a salary of £100k you’d pay £31k per year divided by 12 months = ~£2,583 tax per month

You are right it’s not difficult but if you are paying £3k a month you are overpaying your taxes ........

Ok, that kind of comment isn't really welcome here fella.

You have a right to your opinion but that is a full on sweeping generalisation.

And your entitled to yours , do you work ?

That is none of your business

We aren't talking about me.

You just answered my question, thank you

Did I? I'm not sure that I did. I merely said we were not talking about me.

Wait, you took my not wanting to disclose my personal life to you as me avoiding the answer didn't you?

Sure.

You obviously don’t know anything about mental health.

Your posts are very inappropriate and full of anger.

You should calm down !!

I’m far from angry and do understand about mental health after suffering PTSD. You obviously judge people without knowing anything about them too. My original post was supposed to be a little tongue in cheek x"

She went against her gynaecologists recommendation not to have anymore & to give her body a breaks because she’d literally been pregnant for the last 17 years in succession.

"I’m already paying £3000 a month in taxes to fuel immigrants and the dole scum without encouraging slack fannied women with mental health problems to breed like fucking rats.... rant over lol

I don't know what's more ridiculous. Your vaginally comment or you claiming to pay 3k a month tax

You’re exactly right my friend,, maybe £3000 was a slight exaggeration but it’s still bloody extortion;)

Just because you can only command minimum wage doesn’t mean everyone can, I earn just short of 100k a year and pay 30% tax, it’s not difficult to work out

Ok - have to chip in here .......

Basic rate is 20% upto £45k, then 40% upto £150k

On a salary of £100k you’d pay £31k per year divided by 12 months = ~£2,583 tax per month

You are right it’s not difficult but if you are paying £3k a month you are overpaying your taxes ........"

They all seem happy and loved and earn all their own money (either through their bakery or sponsorship deals) so good luck to them, I couldn’t and wouldn’t want that many children though as I do feel that as each new child that comes along, one of the older one will get pushed out because there is only so much attention and love someone can give af anyone time.

I do hope now they will stop lol.

Reads rant by man who needs a tax advisor...

Remembers an old saying of my grandmothers about empty vessels rattling most...

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste..

And remember what peace there may be in silence...

Slips out of the door without feeding the troll

Why else would she want 20 kids. Unless it’s a financial scheme it must be some sort of mental health issue, maybe she didn’t feel loved as a child and iscompensating for that"

Could be a typo. Or he is not from the UK. We have 20,40, 45, plus VAT and excise making it 65,85 or 90%

"I definitely couldn't have that many children. I had 3 under 5 at one point which looking back was bloody hard work at times!

I only caught the last 20 minutes of the programme but thought they seemed like a lovely family tbh.

So much love in that house "

I think what people are missing is that love isn't a finite resource. The more love you give out, the more love that you have to give. That's why polyamory works so well too - because humans have so much love to give that they needent restrict it to just a small handful of people.

Frankly, in terms of child rearing, this is nonsense in my opinion. Children need time and individual attention, one or two people simply cannot spread themselves thinly enough and keep a huge household running at the same time.

And yet, as someone said above, the kids were thrilled to be going home after being away because they missed it. Must be some seriously love there. I never really wanted to go home when I was away and I was an only child.

Such a large family provides a huge and constantly available social circle, it's not beyond the bounds of possibility that the children are simply lonely and find it more challenging in a world where they have to make an effort socially.

I found the world lonely and challenging (I still do). I don't think that's anything to do with the amount of children that your parents have or some idea of a finite amount of love being available. I know lots of people who find the world lonely and challenging.

Love is an action, not a feeling, parents loving you to death serves little use to a child if they don't have five minutes individual time and attention in the day.

I couldn't do it. Two was my limit. She's a braver woman than me!!

How long did she take labouring/birthing the latter babies? It's supposed to get quicker on each subsequent baby isn't it?

Think its very interesting to read the comments some men have made about a womans body after giving birth especially some of the words they have chosen. Whether its 1 baby or 20 they really have shown what they think of women after birth and its very sad to see
