It's been a tough year. There have been many arduous times but also moments that have made me stop and shake off the grumpy old bleak cloud over me and cherish the good occasions that do happen. Some with friends but also on my own. Hopefully next year will make the good ones outweigh those that are not so.

A strange one for me.

My long term partner (sex only) told me he loved me-definately loved me.

Took me aback and I panicked a bit when I read the text. But, it didn't change anything between us except the sex got even better, and it was pretty amazing already.

2017 hasn't been a great year but it hasn't been awful either

Highlights included :

Seeing someone come out of their shell, kick off the anxiety and awkwardness that had ruled them for too long and graduate with first class honours and bag a £25k first job

Having the balls to walk away from a healthy salary and decide 2018 is about me being happy rather than being the corporate me 24/7

Visiting Jersey for the first time (I loved it)

Ending the year with Mum & Dad still being here (there's been a few dodgy times this year)

An unexpected PPI payment (they had initially refused it 4 years ago and then, out of the blue wrote to say they had got it wrong)

Downsides have been :

Sellers pulling out of a house sale at the last minute

Finding out my niece is in an abusive relationship

Two close friends having serious heart attacks

So yeah, it's been a mixed old bag this year x

Realising, finally, that I am a strong girl and when I put my mind to something I can do it and I can do it alone.

My babies who I love with all my heart, they make me so very proud with their love and resilience.

My girls, who through all of my drama, pain, tears and laughter they have been there to scoop me back and make me feel whole again.

Finally my beanstalk who I adore muchly.

In real life. I make something, and I think it's rather good. Someone else thinks it's good enough to sell it to the public for me, so that's a big thing.

Here on Fab, there lots of highlights, some that didn't even happen, with quite a few wonderful people. One that stands out is seeing a lot of you all in Manchester in the Summer. That was a surprise.

London

In event order: not order of importance.

Retiring at 56 with enough money to do so and help my children.

Two weeks in Sardinia with an amazing group of friends.

The birth of two more grandsons.

Getting the all clear that my diabetes has indeed gone.

Ben actually saying the "l" word.

In one incredible day having three meals in three different countries: breakfast in Spain, lunch in Portugal and dinner at home.

Seeing my children and their families happy and settled.

Accepting no one is perfect: and they don't need to be, myself included.

2017 was awesome for me...excited about the year ahead!

It's been a roller-coaster year but many highlights. I helped my best friend through her chemotherapy and she's doing good now. My dog got the all clear from tests for cancer after surgery and my beautiful mum recovering well from a broken hip. All health related worries that have turned out okay. Plus I'm coping with my health a bit better.

Fab wise, met a few really top blokes but no highlights for 6 months, it's all been a bit shit really. I'm hoping that might change
