What's the difference between a friend, a fuck buddy and friends with benefits?

I can do with a little education on this topics please

Tayside

A friend is a friend

A fuck buddy is a buddy you fuck

A friend with benefits is a friend who signs on the dole as they haven't got a job!

That was my initial thought, but untilsomeone tells you they've got a friend with benefit round theirs another you ask how was your time with your friend and they correct to say it wasn't a friend but with benefit

fuck buddy to me suggests regular sex with them whereas a friend with benefits suggests a friend who you occasionally have sex with but hang out with more

Its all just semantics, really.

I used to use the phrase 'fuck buddy' but after a thread about it on here, decided to remove that phrase, as I had second (deeper) thoughts about what it said about me, rather than what I was looking for.

To me a fuck buddy is just that - nsa sex when we both have the time to meet.

friend with b is a guy I have contact with perhaps 3 or 4 times a week - txt phone or skype, and have got to know more about him and his life as time goes on. We meet up every couple of weeks for great 'hotel sex'.
