Thinking about getting in better shape for the upcoming year and wondered if any one had used an ab toner before and were the results as expected

They don't strip fat at all. All they do is tense the abs, for the money they are and if you want better results do some crunches or sit ups.

If you want a visible set of abs stripping the fat is the hardest

Weight training and a decent diet, I don't even do any ab specific exercises but they show anyway.

If you want abs, you achieve them through a strict clean diet.

You need to reduce your body fat to get your abs showing, high cardio and cruches as well as eating the right foods is what ya need to do, stay away from the shopping channels, they’ll all be wanting you to buy some amazing gadget that gives you the body of a Greek God!
