Time wasters

What can you do when you're unable to accommodate so you book an hotels to meet a nice couple they had to cancel..not their fault but then we find someone nice that is available only to find after waiting to hear from her for over 2hours to be given a time she can get there is it to much trouble to say I may be late or sorry something came up but no nothing even though she's been on and off here all evening but not replying to our message asking when to meet we have now been charged for a room we can't use and it's to late to find anyone else arrrrr ...rant over but how do you tell the time wasters from the genuine people on here X

Been there sooooo many times. Several times I’ve booked a hotel room and they said they were coming and I e been sat there waiting then see them online on fab an hour later. Tried someone else. Same thing. Been let down 63 times this year but I don’t give up cos I’ve met some wonderful people too.

Growl. Punch the pillow. Move on. The good ones outweigh the dicks

63 times? That's bonkers. May I humbly suggest you consider how you select your meets.

Last year had two rather expensive no shows, hotels and wine bottles all booked, purchased etc.

The issue is most times the other party doesn’t have skin in the game so they don’t feel the financial impact plus loss of time, esp if you have to sort out child care etc etc

The trouble is 90% are fake as getting the first meet sorted and done is just hard work. Once your first meet is done then you know them so the next is straight forward but it’s getting to that point that’s hard

No message to say sorry can’t make it but then the next day, was ill so couldn’t be there.

What, were their fingers broken?

I’ve spoken to someone for a while on here, then spoke to them on the phone and they turned out to be a complete timewaster.

I’ve met others who have had hardly anything on their profiles and we’ve exchanged one or two messages yet they’ve e turned up and been lovely.

I don’t know what the answer is but after 63 no shows I think I’d have given up.

I’ve found that if people really want to meet then they will.

I’ve booked hotel rooms and been let down on numerous occasions by people, at my exspence.

It all boils down to respect politeness and manners

If i book a hotel then i take out cancell insurance. It can be used as long as you dont check in. I go straight to bar and wait. If they arrive i check in. If they dont then i use the insurance. Used it 3 times this year. Infact booking 5 times this year only 2 turned up. The odds are against you.
