I'm answering as a guy who's friend (a lovely bloke) IS married to a "stunner". Although the better I've come to know her, the less "attractive" she has become.

She's proved to be a manipulative, vile and bitter woman, who doesn't have a good word to say about anyone - apart from herself of course. She treats my mate like shite, and I actually feel sorry for him - and wouldn't swap places with him for anything.

Someone being a "stunner" is totally subjective. I've looked at numerous female supermodels and thought "meh" as I don't get the hype with them being 6ft tall, underweight, with granite jawlines/cheekbones.

Give me a cutie with "girl next door" looks, a great sense of humour and a nice smile & eyes every day of the week. If she's up for a cuddle as much as great passionate sex then you've got the package right there.

In the unlikely event that I was to marry again (had a wonderful woman who I adored and lost suddenly and would not want to settle for anything less)

Then I would want a woman I loved the rest is totally irrelevant.

Marriage for me isn't just looks or libido. Of course attraction need to be there, libido can be worked on. But to spend the rest of your life with that one person takes many many more than that.

Happiness with just this one person is like trying to find a holy grail. Some are lucky and find it quite quick. Some search for years and still make mistakes. And I think that once I find it, neither looks or libido will matter as much as endless happiness.

I had a mate that had a seriously attractive partner, she walks in a room everyone looks.

It lasted a few years but the sex finished it off, she was no fun in bed according to my mate.

I don't think I'd date someone I found mediocre looking. Sex would just feel boring otherwise. Low sex drive doesn't bother me if they are up for swinging lol.

But they'd have to tick a few other boxes too. I'm fussy on who I date.

Love the place that wanting to have sex with that ultimate, special someone comes from and goes to, wherever that may lead to, I really couldn't live without that dynamic. I'd rather fall in love with the average looking than be left with an element of frustration due to aesthetics, that would eat away at me day by day and wouldn't want that.
