My own personal Extraordinary Resolution for 2018 is to fly in a hot air balloon...

( I came over all shirley and pepsi for moment ) I can't remember who said , 'The only thing we have to FEAR is FEAR itself.' but that is the truth. You will never publish your book because you have already rejected it yourself! Listen to you ! Fear will keep it in the draw and it will never be read. Is that what you wrote it for ? And what if someone does reject it ? So what ? All that means is that it isn't what they are looking for at the moment. Remember agents are not book lovers they just want to make money. You have to believe in your book or who else will ? There's this book writer...... over night sensation. Goes by the name of J.K. Rowling. Wrote Harry Potter......... know of her ? Well she is NONE of the above. She used the initials J.K. on the advice of her agent because most people don't even pick up a book with a female name and J.K. sounded manly. It worked for her. What's more .......she started Harry Potter years before it sold.... when she was about nine or ten to be exact. She was rejected so many times. The difference between her and you is that she didn't reject her own book so that others couldn't. You are hiding so that you can carry on saying you wrote a book. Now......... PUBLISH. | |||

Only a couple of years - I can scull well enough in a double or quad but those singles are damn tippy things "Horrendously so!! I couldn't even start to put a figure on the amount of times I've ended up in freezing cold water trying to get a punt upright.... | |||
