As an only child, when ma dad died in 1984 and ma mam in 1969, I seem to have been kept out of the loop since ma second cousin told me that one of them had passed away....

What I really meant was, we are all (hopefully) knowing, that eventually we will all turn to dust

Or just give it a miss for one night while you have other people's kids in your house

Hiding in the shadows

Treasure what you have, while you have it

The only regret I have ever had or ever will about my life, is being over 200 miles from home.

I didn't visit enough when I had chance, my dad died almost 3yrs ago.

I will move hell & high water now to spend time with my mum, at least twice a month, even if literally drive there & back in one day.

Used to moan non stop about my mum and dad but having lost both in recent years I'd give anything to share another Christmas with them both....whilst i totally understand that rellies can be a complete pain in the backside.... if you love them, enjoy & cherish the time you are gifted with them... you never know how long that will last xx
