Just having some down time in my room. Music that's not Christmassy, clean and pink from the bath, a drink on hand and the chance for a snooze. How do you get time to yourself on the big day?

A world of my own

Mine will be when the kids all go to bed later. A long soak in the bath. Paint my nails and chill out with a glass of something nice

Hiding in the shadows

I went for a run this morning, will take the doggo for a little walk later, then back to the gin

A stroll later tonight with my hound as I walk mumsie home will probably be my respite from the festive chaos.

Unless it's with a massive German Shepherd who tries to goose every other dog walker he sees!

I'm off to my brother in a bit, I was going to have a drink but I think I shall pop in for for short time then come home to snuggle in peace

Or just snuggle down with some bubbly and not go out at all.

Haha, I know what you mean. I've raised 3 generations of Border Collies and they have known how to behave off the lead. Some owners think it's ok to let their dogs just run wild on a park and just "be friendly".

I once had to do a runner from a Springer Spaniel who thought I was fair game

We keep our German Shepherd on the lead if there are any other dogs around as he likes to play. He is ninety pounds and very tall and has no manners. I like to walk him where I can see for miles around. Beaches are good for this. That way he can spend some time off the lead whilst I become the human periscope, continually scanning round for other pooches.
