When you here people rave on about aventus they are referring to aventus as it was before they changed their formula back around 2012/2013.

What you buy from the shops today is nothing compared to what it once was, modern versions don't have the unique smokeyness and don't last more than a few hours which is a shame because it was one of a kind.

I agree with the change in smell but the new one still lasts really well on me, 8 hours plus and you can still smell it, not using much either. Still one of the best smelling in my opinion.
