Closer than you think

I’m a little worried that the OP’s predictive text went for Brothel rather than Brussel!!

To be honest my phone tends to predict more pervy or swear words ahead of others!

I love them; either steamed till cooked but firm to the bite, or sliced in a mandolin and quick fried with crispy lardons and garlic

Absolutely, unlike a dog, sprouts are for life..

You can get them all year in the frozen food aisle, oddly, people take a dim view on freezing dogs..

Except in Korea..

What like never..

Van Damn, you must be backed up..

I'd suggest eating 10lb of overcooked Brussels in one sitting, that'll soon get you going again..

Finely shredded sauted in butter and tossed with toasted flaked almond with diced bacon...yum

Whole blanched wrapped in pancetta and roasted in the oven served with grated Parmesan cheese..

"Brussels, you either love or loathe..

If you love, how do you take yours? "

Take a look through your window in the afternoon, after Christmas dinner.

All over the country, proud fathers out walking with their children, ****boys on their bikes and racing radio controlled cars, girls with tiny prams and new bikes.

The truth is, they're not proud dads at all, they're just out for sprout walk.....

****Other stereotypes are available

Central

I love cruciferous crops - sprouts included. Unique tastes and textures, readily seasoned and variable dish potential. Just lightly boiled is fine.
