Perhaps start making cheese in the extra time you have..

It's surprisingly cathartic...

Last year I made my first (damson) jam..... apparently it was brilliant (I don’t eat jam!)

This year I’ve made several chutneys...and the most amazing piccalilli I’ve ever tasted!

Preserves are great!

It tastes really nice, really creamy and fresh, nothing like the grainy ricotta from the supermarkets.

It's now being pressed and is going to be salted to make ricotta salata...

Now that's on my bucket list of things to really try, I'm so fascinated by the nuances of cheese making to has to produce so many different varieties....I'll fetch me coat!

Or, erm, had a one to one meet.

Tomorrow, I will be embarking on mozzarella production...

I wouldn't say it's bucket list worthy, just something to keep my mind occupied for the next couple of days..

You know it’s not meant to be taken literally! It refers to all manufacturers of dairy products.!
