Well for those of you that don't already know?? ~ Our beloved 8month old Bichon Frise puppy "Beau~Beau" has just overcome 13days fighting the dreadful Disease "PARVO~Polio!" and is back home with his own litter sister Rosie and mum Princess Ellie.

Everything's going great and he appears to be back to normal, fit and healthy yet again (thank God) ......

THEN"ohhhh NOOOOOOO!!" i took my eyes off him for 1 minute this afternoon whilst i paid the window cleaner~ and BINGO!! HE WAS ONLY BLOODY TIED ON

TO HIS SISTER ,who is ripe in saeson !!!

OMG!! ~ He'd jumped over the safety gate (where we had deliberately kept them apart, But~ there was no stopping him (they had already tied!!)

The vet has told us that we shouldnt risk it & take her next thursday for a test & possible 2 x "like" morning after pills

Has any1 esle been through this,or taken the risk,as there's apparently a 50/50 % chance of her puppies being ok!!

We're not gonna take that risk personally ~ but just very interested in other ppl's experience of this unfortunate accident!!

Judge : "Mr Mushy, you are charged today with having sex with a dog. Really, how low can a man get."

Mushy : "I've had a Yorkshire Terrier Your Honour"

Judge : "Take him down, 9 months"

When I was a kid, my dad used to breed smooth haired fox terriers. We had a similar experience except that it was with mother and son.

Anyway, she had the pups, 6 of them, 2 were stillborn, and three of them only survived a couple of days.

The remaining pup was a dog pup that grew a lot bigger than his breed should have been, but he survived.

Why take the risk?

Use the pills.

And how would you register the potential pups with the Kennel Club- their computer would go into melt down

yes it happen to 2 of my dogs brother and sister and i had her injected within 48 hours of it happening. its the best thing to do with closely related pups they can have lots of problems and never mind finding decent homes for them.

Glad your boy is ok though, horrible illness

Of course you can't SEE the problem- you have no head!

And they say inbreeding doesn't have any obvious abnormalities........

The male of any species is the same all over.

If theres a female flaunting her sex organs at him, he will stop at nothing to get at it.

At least Beau is better, thats one good thing. I would get this injection from the vet through, as too close interbreeding is not good.

Thanx every1 xx

She's going tomors Nt 4 her examinations & possible " doggie Morning after injections" ~as we cant take that risk,as it's far too close a relationship for the puppies to be "all normal and healthy!!" ~we are NOT prepared to take that risk ~but thanx to ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE been THINKING ABT Beau Beau and sending ALL the luvlie wishes & prayers during his PARVO illness !! He's back to normal THANK GOD!!! ~ and apart from his shaved fur from his drips and a luvlie long sore down the full length of his nose(where he rubbed against the bars of his cage in isolation, once he started to feel better!!1

Do not take the risk!!!.

We breed dogs and have seen this happen the puppies often are deformed and will die hours after being born which will cause u so much heart ache get the doggy morning after pill.

yay beau beau got his mojo, and is now doing the how low. Lol.

So glad to hear he is better and he has obviously proved he has no lasting ill effects from such a horrible thing.

I'm pretty sure if it was us in your position we would get the tablets or the injection, whichever was more garunteed to work I suppose.

One of my brother-in-law`s springers got pregnant too early after a previous litter. The dog was taken to the vet with the _iew of terminating the half grown fetuses. Despite assurances from the vet, it all went full term and the puppies were born OK as it turned out. But there were some awkward moments for the vet when they had to admit that they only found out too late that the treatment wasn`t guaranteed to work!

Why wait 5 days for morning after pill sorry for question but earlier the better for success and unless you want to breed her maybe worth getting her sterilised so no more accidents happen.

The "moment" it had happened ,i immediately foned our vets (obviously!")

They told us to bring Rosie~Jo back the following Wed(28th) as like with Humans ,it takes time for a pregnancy test to show up~B4 then would be too early 4 anything to show !!

Yes!!He's certainly proved he has gotten his "Mo~Jo well n truly back ~ OMGosh ~ he's certainly done that 4 sure!!!

Wish we could have posted a piccie of him 4 you ALL to see ~but alas ~ the powers that be "don't allow pet pix

"we were told

But don't forget ~we also have "Mum" here aswell "Princess Ellie" ~ so all in all ~ its easier to have Beau "done" ~that way hopefully fingers X'ed ,she(Rosie~Jo) will be able to still have 1 litter as we had planned~just like Mummy!! ~ not forgetting Beau is only 9Months old and it may not have taken !!! We'll know 4 definate in 36hrs !!!~ "its just one of those "unfortunate things" that happen x x x Luv Alex n Carl x x x

PS: We'll keep ya ALL posted !!

have her aborted.

In future innoculate your puppies against Parvo....its a lot cheaper in the long run. I'm really surprised that the breeder does not do this before selling on.

We had this with our carrin x with a staff we had at the time.

Dont know why you have to wait so long as if she were human you have to take it straight away.

Anyway we had to wait a few days then take ours in.

What ours had was like a hormone injection then again i think a few days after. But its not always 100%

All i know was it cost us loads and you have to have eyes in the back of your head as they will try again.

God can you imagine if us women were this bad?
