I don't know if its just me, but is it not just a waste of time to wink someone if your not going to talk you them even if they send you a message after wink is sent?

No people can do what they like, I have no objection to those that winks, it means I can check out their profile and either wink back or message if I am interested. I object more to those who request friendship without bothering to read the profile first and not only don't I accept them without knowing the person first, if they don't fit what I am interested in, I just delete so for them a pointless exercise

Maybe they just like your pics and profile, they maybe are just being friendly although they may not be sure they want to meet you.

To the OP. Try and see if there is a pattern to their winking.

I use the wink system to communicate to people using a rudimentary form of morse code that I like to call 'rudimentary wink morse code' code.

Maybe they're not winking.

Maybe they just have something in their eye, and it looks like they're winking.

Maybe they just have a nervous twitch or they wink by accident ... I do it all the time when using my phone as everything is sooo small on the touch screen lol

Sometimes people send winks by mistake, especially if they're using a laptop with a wandering cursor. I've done it myself, but if I send one in error I always send a PM saying it was an error. If we fancy them we'd say so.

If someone sends us a wink we will wink back.

If there's no response after that we'll just delete the wink and forget about it.

Sometimes you get a wink then a friends request but no message.

We'll never accept this approach. If they're too shy to message, how do they expect to meet?

I reckon with some it ain't really a wink - more of a squint

You heard the one about the woman with a glass eye - she winked em off...
