I would love to add outside decorations to the house. Nick is not a fan.

Some of our neighbours have gone way over the top with their whole house a beam of flashing lights.

Do any of you go all out with decorating the outside of your house? And at what point do you know it's enough?

Prefer minimalism but each to their own..

can see why some do it if its to raise money for a charity etc..

It’s too much when it starts to look American. That’s a good guideline for lots of things

My street is full of old people and they laugh at my house .Have it covered in fairy lights .last year I had a massive Santa and Rudolf but he wouldn't blow up this year .

Dunno...when it looks too loud I guess..flashing different colors, big blow up stuff etc etc..

A few well matched decs look good..looking like a Christmas decoration wagon has just ploughing into your house, not so good. It's the difference between a well modified car and a boy racer mobile..one looks well thought out and planned..the other just looks like they've been chucking flashy blingy bits on it

Haha, yes. I can remember my ex coming back from a trip to the states when those 'icicle' fairy lights first came out and he wanted some, though we never got round to it. I think those in a soft golden light would be about as far as I would want to go lol!

If you get a sun tan from walking past the house, you may have overdone it a little

When Clark Griswold knocks on your door to tell you that you may have over done it a bit with the decorations.
