I'd love to but I've never, ever got to the end of a movie at the cinema without falling asleep. It'd be a waste of money for me.

It doesn't work, there's something about the atmosphere and seating combination that sends me off to zzzzzland

I went to a treble bill once before avengers age of ultron, I saw avengers, cap America and then the new avengers, I was sat between my ex husband and a really comfy (I mean carrying a bit too much holiday weight as Ross would say) so I think the cosy thing set me off in the middle of cap America lol.

We’re going at 10am on Friday morning. Was going to do the midnight showing again but we’re up from 5am for work that morning so probably wouldn’t make the end of the film.

I bought out tickets on release day, and have VIP seats too... Not going at midnight though, we're going 8:30 tomorrow evening... It seemed like the best comprimise between seeing it early and getting to work on time.

Spoiler-free reviews? How was it?

City Centre

Anyone see the screenings last night, this seems to be a very divisive episode if reviews are to be believed.

Hilarious review in the Irish Times "Adam Driver, miscast as the now-scarred Kylo Ren, continues to suggest an evil organic cheesemonger from the southern reaches of Brooklyn."

We've just got back... awesome film.

I think personally it is The Best Starwars film so far and it really has the heart and soul of the original.

This time I purposely missed the first midnight showing. That's because for the last two Star Wars movies I struggled to stay awake.

We're going this evening after work instead and this time I won't be dressed as an imperial officer

Hmmmm just got back from watching it.

Maybe I’m too much of a pureist but it didn’t really do it for me.

Won’t spoil it for others by ranting on this thread

Sounds like you had the same initial reaction as me.. Have since decided that on the whole I enjoyed it but I thought...hmm not too many new ideas again...

I think that if, like me, you grew up with the original trilogy, there will be aspects of this film that just don’t sit right.

I blame Disney

Mr"

I personally think they have tried to be too cute with additional creatures..

I did love some of the sets and the vivid colours.

I am guessing they can explore the universe a lot more with all the spin-offs and let's be honest there are many ways they could go, like Marvel and DC..
