I work in a school so have just had to pop in for a couple of hours of snow clearing today and yesterday. who else has had a few days off

I work in a care home and life still rolls on as normal for us lol, so even if it’s icy or slippery we will do our damned best to get there and make sure all our residents are entertained (that’s my job) and cared for. Lovely for those that have had time off of course.

I don't work anymore due to psoriatic arthritis, but I used to work on building sites in freezing conditions when a couple of snowflakes would evidently stop the rest of the nation from going to work in a nice warm office

Scientists are studying schools closely, due to their snow attracting properties.

They are always the hardest hit establishments.....

Our school decided to close an hour after most of the children had arrived due to lots of staff not being able to get in. Luckily I was told as I attempted to drive into the car park!

Bit annoying really, they could've made that call last night like most other schools in the area did.

Absolutely gutted none in North Yorkshire

we have spent 3 hours clearing snow from about 6.30AM in the past, and hearing lots off schools in the area are closed, then finally after all that work are head says ok we will close, Grrr bite your tongue time lol
