I live in shared house with 3 other tenants the last to move in was a beautiful young polish girl last week..i been helping her out here and there and got on fine.

And over the week I kinda fell for her charms..being shy and all that I didn't want to push it and after some thinking I thought on Saturday I would ask her out for a drink in a nice pub...but the guy downstairs had already asked if she wanted to go to his friends house for a drink..to which she did...my heart sank..tried to sleep that night but at 2am just couldn't sleep, they was still out..i thought I go to the gym and a bit of bike ride to clear my head.got back about 4am and they was back and I think in there own rooms...after a nap went to work then to my friends house and back to the gym (more cardio need to lose some weight for xmas) got home and they was both there on the sofa with a quilt over them..i went back out my heart at this stage was in my throat...but I remained calm and spoke for a bit and then said will leave you 2 love birds in peace...as I went back out I did hear him say it's not like that..but my emotions was all over the place I was too late in asking or did she like him in the firs place after all he as confidence,good job,smokes(),drinks,good looking,sings and as a cat all I got is crabs (in a fish tank)

After All this and trying to stay out the house as long as possible..i came home and bumped into him in the kitchen and said sorry for earlier and explained about it all and that..and he fully understood and has no interest in dating her as be wants to remain single.

I think he has the right idea..even though I been helping her in and around town. She not going to bother going anywhere with me because she rather go with the cool guy. As I spoke with her and asked if she want to go for a drink next weekend she maybe (all of a sudden she works weekends now and then) so I took the hint and went back to my room.

Part of me hope so..but part of me don't.

I am starting notice we are like chalk and cheese. Nothing really in common..i helped mostly because she was new to UK and don't know many people which was the same for my parents when they moved to Bulgaria 10 years ago.

But now that the guy downstairs is better then me she hangs around him all the time.

This morning as I was getting ready to go to the gym she was in a rush for work and helped..we was so far from her meeting point and she was worried that she only had 2 min to get to the meeting point (near tesco) so I said I can run and get there before her just in case the taxi is waiting I can say she is on the way..i got there but no taxi but another worker so she had not missed it. She turned up just after me and I said you ok not missed the taxi and she just kinda rolled her eyes and looked away and I felt an idot.

Move on. They say you shouldn’t date a workmate. Same for housemate. What if you date then it goes tits up and you’re stuck in the same house. Gonna be pretty awkward.

Stuck to being just housemates and look elsewhere xxx

I had this from the other side. Moved into a house share and a guy who lived there used to follow me around offering to help when I was quite capable, trying to invite me out to the pub on our own when normally we all went together. Agreeing with everything I said etc. He was a nice guy but I wasn’t interested in him in that way but it was really hard trying to get that across. I was only young at the time and daren’t tell him out right as I didn’t know how he’d react and I did ask a couple of the others to try to explain to him in a nice way but he thought the guy was warning him off for himself and that the girl was jealous of me, neither of which was true. Made it really awkward to live there so I ended up moving out.

It was..its life you meet someone and you fall for that person some fall quicker then others

I am going through a rough patch in my life since my motorbike accident and losing my position at 2 jobs starting a freash and moving house 3 times since the accident knocks your confidence down a bit..and this is just another blow. So no matter is said won't make any difference.

You need to get back to feeling comfortable about yourself and confident, it shines through when a person is sorted and happy in their own skin.

Forget the girl mate, shes made her choice by the sound of it and while thats hard to accept when youre in a fragile state its just nature, some people are attracted to some people and not others, its just how it goes,dont take it personally.

Keep up with the new regime and youll probably meet someone along the way who youre better suited to and have shared interests with.

Already got a stash of earplugs lol mostly for when people have friends over and are loud and I have early work in the morning. But yer can be used to drown out the sound of banging of the bed
