Where are you?

Back before mobile phones you would always know where someone was if you called them. If they weren't at home you couldn't talk.

Do you sometimes feel a bit too accessible? Do you ever step away from devices and just be alone for a while? Have no one know where you are?

I'm really bad for never having my volume on my phone. I can take hours to reply to people. I kind of forget what's expected these days!

How long could you go without using your phone?

Yeah I never have my phone on loud either, but for some reason I can’t seem to go for more than half hour without picking it up and checking something! Wish it wasn’t that way! Just how the world is now I guess.

i have mine on silent all the time, unless im specifically waiting for a call...but i dont want to be interrupted until i choose to be. Some people behave as if they're brain surgeons permanently on call...it really doesnt matter most of the time whether people can get hold of me or not...nothing disastrous is going to happen..

Mine is always on silent I hate being interrupted. Even if I see it ring I don't always answer (unless it's school etc) . I figure they'll text if it's really important

I can't step away from my phone. I'm constantly called upon for one thing or another. It's really quite stressful.

Traffic land

My phone is on silent all of the time and I have no qualms about responding to calls/messages only when I’m ready to.

I’m the same at home, if my door knocks and I’m not expecting anyone, I don’t answer it if I don’t want to.

Am actually less anti social than I sound

Do you ever think how things were before the days of mobile phones? Surely people still had the same issues they call for these days?

Unfortunately I have to be contactable if I’m out so my phone is always on. But yes not being able to switch off isn’t always a good thing x

I don't either, even when they've seen me watch them walk up the path. I magically dissappear

I probably play with mine far too much. As for my phone

I very rarely have the sound on and most of my notifications are off, they do my head in.

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

I tried not having a phone a couple of years ago. After about 3 months I got a letter off ma doctor telling me that they would have to stop ma prescriptions as I was uncontactable

But yeah, I used to love the freedom of being able to get on ma motorbike and have a "lost weekend" without any fecker knowing where the hell I was

So funny, it would be less stressful for us to just answer the door

I never, ever have my volume up on my phone but then apart from at work it’s in my hand or near me most of the time, I generally text back straight away, the only person I won’t answer the phone to straight away is my colleague I work with as A) it brings me down sometimes and B) she talks for blooming ages!!

Geeky x

Call screening

I hate that people know if Ive read messages on apps. I feel like i have to reply, I much prefer sneaking a peek on notifications.

N'bours parcels are coveted between me and elderly lady next door. N'Bour is terribly handsome and appreciative. She invariably wins as she always answers her door

My phone is always on silent, notifications off. I only really have it to be contactable by school and my kids, I get paranoid about that.

I could quite happily not talk to anyone all day

Problem solved. I moved to the man cave.

I can only charge the phone after capturing a couple of dinosaurs and getting them to run on the treadmill...

Or I just leave the phone on silent my number on private and only give it to people who don't use it
