Best live band

I haven't seen as many bands as id like. Some I've seen a few times such as Iron maiden and Metallica. Others I've seen on more than one occasion by accident, Thunder being guilty here. However, one band stand out head and shoulders above all others, for customer satisfaction primarily. I nominate Status quo, as they will always play Whatever you want.

REM.... Absolutely brilliant. For anyone who likes them or that kinda music you must watch their live performance of Country Feedback on YouTube. Spine chillingly good. In fact that analogy doesn't even do it justice

There and to the left a bit

Couldn't name just one...Muse have wowed me a few times, Biffy Clyro pleasantly surprised me, Green Day were just awesome, The Specials were non-stop exuberant energy, Madness on their day are consummate entertainers, The Beat in 1982 is still one of my best ever gigs

Saw Metallica in the early 90s. Very good! Thunder, too, were also great! Mott the Hoople although older in years were excellent. But the best band I have seen, and countless times, are Motorhead!!

Met Heaven 17 on a flight to Belfast in the 80s. A good bunch. They laughed away as 60 dopey soldiers started singing Temptation during the flight. The lead singing stood up and clapped afterwards.

U2 are simply a superior live act to most bands - even their biggest shows filled with their biggest songs do what other artists cannot, and make fans feel like it's just them and the band. This is what live music should achieve.
