I have my 6 month review this afternoon and it's inspired me to nudge you all, men too, to CHECK YOUR BOOBIES!

Cancer doesn't discriminate! All of you are at risk! Please check your boobers guys and girls!

That's all

I try and check mine as good as I can, but being so big it’s not a thorough check. I had a scare last year and ended up having minor surgery for it, luckily it wasn’t serious and I’m fully recovered now though a little scarred and deformed but it’s enough to make me vigilant of any changes now x

If you're unsure about checking yourself, your gp will always be more than happy to do a quick exam!

Glad you're well now!

I can check them but being so big, if there was any lumps In the deepest part of my breast I probably wouldn’t feel it. Thank you x

Biggest thing is to look for changes! Cancer isn't always a lump

But yes...google or just ask your doc

I have the same issue...and I have had numerous surgeries so lots of scar tissue makes lumps harder to feel. You can keep an eye out for other changes though

Good man! I was first diagnosed at 22, precancerous cells at an even younger age!...it doesn't discriminate.

I know it doesn't .Having watched 4 of the people I loved most all die within 6 years I'm paranoid about cancer permanently.

Sound advice OP

I’ve just recently had a health scare related this this. The NHS were totally amazing but it was a very troubling time. Get checked, learn to check yourself. Know the symptoms of anything out of the ordinary and don’t wait to see your doc.

And check your balls lads, it's not as though your hand isn't down there most of the time you are on fab anyway, just give em a roll between your thumb an middle and index fingers, any lumps bumps or irregular size difference and consult your gp.

Good work op, I'll be thinking of you and please do keep us posted x

I bet you are, be kind to yourself today and let it sink in then tomorrow when they tell you what treatment is going to be best you can take it all in and deal with it. X

A world of my own

Had a bit of a scare last year so will now be checking them regularly.

No one wants to walk into a hospital and be told you might need to have them removed. Not a conversation I ever want to have again.

Stay well ladies xx
