When you leave your lunch at home and are at work, does it upset you

because you go hungry or do you have any backup options?

Er...get a sandwich from Marks or Sainsbury's...hardly something to get upset about.

Not everyone has the luxury of these to fall back on. I presume you work near them.

My backup is leaving a small stash of money in my draw so I always have the work canteen to fall back on

When I work I'm lucky in that there are on site facilities. I don't like what they sell particularly but I wouldn't go hungry. I also keep breakfast biscuits and soba noodles in my desk drawer. Otherwise I would get very hangry and be very hungry.

I'm retired and live in London. Where I worked/live I'm never more than spitting distance from a Lidl, Sainsbury's, greasy spoon, corner shop etc so can't appreciate the enormity of your problem.

Where I work there's no canteen but if you get chance to escape there's all sorts of takeaway places so you can sort of get something. But where I last worked was in the middle of nowhere with nothing around so you would be very hangry and that's the worst

Well, if you forget your lunch, don't have access to shops and are that picky about what you eat then perhaps you should t forget your lunch?

I never though picky people would have a problem with marks and Spencer.

Surely as a one off if you were really hungry you would? If not then being hungry is a consequence of the choice you made....

For some people food really is something you need every few hours, others can just go all day without. I can't function unless I eat breakfast so I have my cereal when I wake up every day and can't do anything but!

You’re allowed to be hungry, it won’t hurt to wait until you are able to eat.

I feel your pain. Always keep a cereal bar about your person.

I’d just have an impromptu fast, one of the benefits of eating how I do is that is an easy option

I could gnaw my arm off sometimes if I forget food after work. Even the slightly gone off apple lurking in my bag begins to look edible, and dusty polo's in pockets

I try to never forget food
