Will anyone be attending a church service over the festive period?

I will. I love watching the kids nativity play and the carols being sung. Brings back lots of memories of Christmases from my childhood.

I do attend at other times of the year but not as much as I used to

I went to one with my mum last weekend and had to walk out..I couldn't bear it..it felt so ridiculous and i could barely contain laughter so just left so as not to offend anyone.

I'm not religious at all but wasn't expecting that reaction..I felt like a bit of a twat given it was me that went there and not the other way round so thought it best to make a swift exit out of respect

I won't be going again

No, we won't.

We sometimes go to churches to enjoy the architecture and positive energy or to celerbrate or mourn with someone but never to worship.

I'd like to say yes as it brings back good memories from childhood but I don’t want to be a hypocrite. Only time I'm in now church is weddings or funerals.

Yes, but only because it’s my daughter’s school’s Christmas Celebration and she has asked me to go.

Nope, I'm not religious in the slightest (despite a Church of England school upbringing).

As nicecouple said, I appreciate the architecture for what it is, but not into the religious thing.

Not I, I don't like the burning sensation when I step in a church

I go to the local church carol service and nativity play. It's really heart warming and makes my children think about the real meaning of Christmas.

I wait outside the church until the Morris men come out and dance through the streets, fire torches blazing, that is my Yule celebration and how I remember the true meaning of the season

We will probably be going to christingle on christmas eve if I can get out of work on time! I dragged Ads to a candlelit carol service last year which I loved, I hope to go again this year, work permitting.

A world of my own

I was at one on Sunday evening.

I may go to the midnight service on xmas eve if I'm organised enough.

I'm not particularly religious-although I am technically a Catholic.. must be where all my guilt comes from

Yes, I love the carols and we have a lovely candle lit service by us. For me it's more about the community coming together, those that you normally see in the pub in a different environment, and being able to wish seldom seen friends, acquaintances and strangers a merry chistmas.
