Growing up as a child in Ireland everyone watched English or Scottish football as that’s what was on tv, league of Ireland football was not televised I live in London but I travel to approx 10-15 Utd games per season, I also attend most of their away games in London. I was at Watford on Tuesday and Arsenal yesterday, I attend a football match most weekends not just premier league, I’ve been to Leyton Orient, Barnet, Enfield town. Premier league teams couldn’t survive like they do without ‘tourist fans’, do you think Bournemouth( or any club) would be willing to give up their share of overseas tv rights because it comes from ‘tourist fans’. If clubs were expected to survive on gate receipts alone then I’m afraid Bournemouth would struggle as they have the smallest stadium capacity in the league. | |||

"Derby would have had a better chance it seems against Arsenal than Manchester united in the FA cup qualifiers, we,ve been unlucky to get drawn with them for the last few years, but it took united 85 minutes to break derby (with their big priced players)oh well birmingham on saturday.. I agree I think in those circumstances leave the manager alone speak to his assistant manager or the captain.With regards to Arsenal the problems have been obvious for about 5 years 2 good defenders to go straight into the team and 2 good defensive midfielders one straight into the team the other as back up or play both in a game where the opponents attack is better than yours. | |||
